Variety sale to benefit the Friends of Homeless Animals, a no-kill animal shelter that serves the metropolitan area, Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE. Donations for the sale are accepted at the community center, Friday, May 9, 1 p.m.-9 p.m. Call 703-765-2475, or visit www.foha.org.

Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is hosting an information session on Saturday, May 17, 11 a.m.-noon at the Dolley Madison Community Library, 1244 Oak Ridge Ave., McLean. The Great Falls Women's Club will be having a private tour of the Garden and Landscapes of Mount Vernon on Tuesday, May 20. The tour may be followed with a tour of the grand house/museum, with lunch for those who wish to stay. Meet at 8 a.m. at the side parking lot of the Great Falls CVS to carpool to Mount Vernon. The Great Falls Women's Club will travel to the National Museum of Women in the Arts on Thursday, May 22, for luncheon in the Museum Cafe, followed by a guided tour of the museum. Guests are welcome. Carpools will be formed behind the CVS in Great Falls at 10:45 a.m. Luncheon will be at noon, and the tour at 1:30 p.m. The cost for the admission/tour/luncheon is $25.
