Lionel Raymond Dyer, 76, of Alexandria, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at INOVA Alexandria Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Arlette Darnal-Dyer. He served as a Ranger in the U.S. Army and was commissioned as an officer. He attained the rank of Captain before leaving the Army. He retired as an Investment and Financial Analyst. A visitation was held Friday, April 17, 2009. Interment was at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Va.
