Special Olympics Benefit Bowling Tournament. Fairfax Adult Softball (FAS) is hosting its 9th Annual Benefit Bowling Tournament. Proceeds will assist Virginia Special Olympics, Area 26 and Fairfax Adult Softball field improvements. Applications are being accepted through Friday, Jan. 16. Activities will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25 at the Bowl America Shirley in Alexandria, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For the past 18 years, participants of FAS have contributed to local charities. Since its first bowling tournament in 1999, FAS and it participants have raised over $100,000. Activities such as bowling, golf and softball tournaments have also been organized in an effort to help raise funds.
