A cast of 27 students in grades 6-8 will present Lewis Carroll’s fantasy, “Alice in Wonderland,” as this year’s middle school fall play at The Langley School. The show will run Thursday, Nov. 12, through Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s Jeffrey J. Sherman Arts Center. Tickets are on sale now for $5 per person and must be purchased in advance through Langley’s Web site at www.langleyschool.org.

Nearly 40 students, about one-third of Langley’s Middle School, auditioned for a role in the show.

In addition to the elaborate costumes and scenery, the show features something new for a Langley production — a live pit orchestra comprising Langley’s Middle School musicians. The orchestra will play well-known tunes from the Disney cartoon, including “A Very Merry Un-Birthday” and “Alice in Wonderland” during the overture and scene changes.
