Cedar Knoll Inn Restaurant</b>

Built in the late 1800s, this historic inn sits on a hill overlooking the Potomac River.

The brunch menu features a tenderloin steak, eggs and potatoes sauteed with green peppers and onions. There is also French toast with maple syrup and a side of bacon.

Cedar Knoll holds brunch from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Sundays only. It is located on the George Washington Memorial Parkway, at 9030 Lucia Lane, Alexandria; 703-799-1501.

<b>Primo Family Restaurant

</b>This Italian-American restaurant has been part of the Belle View community since 1988.

The breakfast menu features Eggs Benedict, steak and eggs and seven types of omelets. Pancakes, hash browns, bacon, ham, sausage and toast can also be ordered as a side dish.

Main dishes run from $3.99 to $7.50.

Primo Family restaurant opens for breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and Sundays. It is located at 1636 Belle View Blvd. Alexandria; 703-765-6890.

<b>The Bungalow

</b>Owners Keith and Cheryl Early opened this branch of the local billiards hangout in 2003.

For brunch, the restaurant serves up blackened prime rib with eggs, potatoes and toast. Diners can also enjoy a twist on the traditional Eggs Benedict dish, where grilled pizza dough is used instead of an English muffin. During this meal, the restaurant also offers Bloody Marys and champagne mimosas.

Main dishes are $6.99-$8.99.
