Mount Vernon Crime Report April 11

Activities reported by the Mount Vernon police department through April 6.

ASSAULT

8600 block of Richmond Highway, March 30, 1 p.m. A 45-year-old male of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assaulting a 19-year-old woman. Allegedly he spit on the victim when she exited a business.

STOLEN AUTO / TRESPASS

7900 block of Audubon Ave., March 30, 5:30 a.m. Officers responded for a suspicious noise coming from a vacant apartment. Two men ran from the apartment and fled in a vehicle that was unlocked and running in the parking lot. The vehicle was located, but not the suspects.

ROBBERY

Lockheed Blvd. / Saul Road, March 31, 12:30 a.m. The victim flagged down an officer and reported a robbery. The victim was assaulted by two individuals who were armed with handguns. They fled after taking the victim’s wallet.

DESTRUCTION

200 block of Fort Drive, April 1 between 7 a.m.-8 p.m. The homeowner reported that someone attempted to force entry. The front door was damaged, but it appeared nothing was missing from the home.

ROBBERY

Lockheed Blvd. / Saul Road, April 2, 10 p.m. The victim reported two suspects armed with handguns robbed him. They took his wallet and fled.

ANIMAL BITE

5800 block of North Kings Highway, April 4, 2 p.m. A postal carrier was making a deliver when a dog approached and bit the carrier. The victim was treated for minor injuries and the dog, which had a current license and vaccination, was routinely quarantined for 10 days.

8400 block of Hallie Rose St. License plate from vehicle.

6500 block of Quander Road. Cell phone from school.

6800 block of Quander Road. DVR from residence.

8600 block of Richmond Highway. Liquor from business.

6300 block of Richmond Highway. Wallet from business.s
