Another interactive activity at the Be Fit McLean Outdoor Event is fish and explore.
The McLean Community Center’s second annual Be Fit McLean Outdoor Adventure Expo will give local individuals and families a chance to explore the many outdoor recreation options in the Washington Metropolitan area at a one-stop shop. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18. Admission is free. The center is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
Information and interactive displays related to a variety of outdoor activities will be available at the expo.
For the second year in a row, Recreational Equipment Inc.—REI, will cosponsor a Dutch Oven Cook-Off. Teams will cook outside over open flames to compete for prizes. Cooking will begin at 10 a.m.; judging will take place at 1 p.m. Nourish Market will provide food service for the event, offering homemade, natural soups, sandwiches and other tasty treats for sale.
