Alexandria — Art displays filled the gym and overflowed down the sidewalk at George Washington Middle School for the annual Youth Arts Festival on Saturday, June 8. The entertainment got underway with a performance by the Nuclear Ice Age Rock Band. The puppet parade along with drummer Nasar Abadey and a group of his workshop students followed. Music and dance performances continued throughout the afternoon. Outside on the sidewalk, craft tents lined the entranceway offering various projects for children and their families.
