Tartan Day festival at Waterfront Park
A day full of fun at the Tartan Day festival
Click Photo for FlashFor the first time, the National Capital Tartan Day Committee (NCTDC) hosted the annual Tartan Day festival at Waterfront Park on Saturday, April 5. Visitors to the park were treated to clan displays and vendors of Scottish merchandise along with pipers, fiddlers and dancers. The local chapter of the Scottish American Military Society (SAMS), partnered with NCTDC on this event. Ralph Wallace (of SAMS as well as of NCTDC) took the lead this year on organizing the festival, with assistance from James Morrison and Douglas Brooks.
