Centreville: 18,000 Pounds Of Food Collected

The Minnieland Academy — with two schools in Centreville — has concluded its six-month “Kids Feeding Kids” food drive. The company delivered more than 18,000 pounds of food and replenished the shelves at area shelters and food banks.

Parents and staff from all of the Minnieland family of schools participated, including, Minnieland Academy, The Merit Schools, Manassas Christian Academy and School, and Apple Tree Preschool and Academy.

Kids Feeding Kids partnered with local food banks throughout the area including ACTS, S.E.R.V.E., FeedMore, Capital Area Food Bank, Fredericksburg Area Food Bank, HOPE, NVFS, Transitional Housing-BARN, Blue Ridge Food Bank, and Loudoun Interfaith Relief.

Founded in 1972, Minnieland Academy comprises an educational network of more than 100 licensed facilities throughout Virginia.
