Reston Art Gallery and Studios (RAGS) presents “Little Gems” on exhibit from Feb. 2 until March 5, and all are welcome to the artists’ reception on Sunday, Feb. 8 from 2 until 4 p.m., at 11400 Washington Plaza West, Reston, at Lake Anne Plaza. The “Little Gems” exhibit features works no larger than 12” x 12”, created by the RAGS artists. RAGS is open every weekend from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays, 12 until 5 p.m. on Sundays, and other times by chance or appointment. Art aficionados can enjoy two receptions in one day at Lake Anne Plaza. In addition to “Little Gems,” just steps away at Reston Community Center, 1639 Washington Plaza, the JoAnn Rose Gallery is featuring “Colors of Nature”, an exhibit of fine art photography by Kathy Kautter of RAGS. Meet Kautter at the “Colors of Nature” reception from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8 and see her exhibit on display through March 2. Recognized for her “good eye,” Kautter’s photography captures colors and textures in her favorite topics of flora, leaves, trees, and water.
