The oldest tree in the Town of Vienna is believed to be a 350-year-old white oak on Marjorie Lane.

The newest tree will be a river birch to be planted at Glyndon Park at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, in honor of Arbor Day and in celebration of Vienna being named a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters. This is the 15th year Vienna has received this honor. The public is invited to join the celebration.

“Vienna takes pride in its varied tree population,” says Town Arborist Gary Lawrence. “The green framework of the Town adds to its warm character.”
