Vienna’s Ian Ladner is Employee of the Quarter at Defense Logistics Agency Energy.

Vienna resident Ian Ladner was awarded the Defense Logistics Energy Employee of the Quarter (Oct-Dec 2015). DLA Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Mark McLeod recognized Ladner as our “best of the best,” in the DLA Energy's Employees of the Quarter, First Quarter of Fiscal Year 2016.

Ladner is an energy management specialist in Defense Logistics Agency Energy Customer Operations Directorate. Ladner was recognized for his efforts in managing a nine-state $35 million natural gas portfolio consisting of customer accounts with 23 different installations across 10 different federal agencies. During quarterly financial audits of over 70 separate supplier invoice statements, he identified and then later fixed invoice mistakes for four different customers that resulted in monetary rebates valued at $96,000.

He is presently conducting natural gas economic analyses supporting four additional major military customers: Fort Benning, Fort Hood, Barksdale AFB, and Luke AFB.

Ladner attended Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History in May 2011. While attending Franciscan University, he played intermural basketball and football. He started working at DLA Energy in May 2012 and graduated from the DLA Intern Program in May 2015. In his free time, he enjoys playing baseball and football, rooting for the Redskins and Nationals, mountain biking and visiting historical sites.
