APAH To Open New Low Income Housing

Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing will announce the grand opening of The Spring Apartments on Thursday, Nov. 3. These apartments, located at the corner of N. Carlin Springs Road and N. Thomas Street, will provide 47 new energy efficient units for low and very low income households. Eligibility criteria is earning less than 50 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI.) In addition, the apartments will include 51 units for households earning below 60 percent of the AMI as well as six market rate units.

The event will be held from 2-4 p.m. at 555 N. Thomas St.  The program will include remarks from a new Springs resident as well as local officials and a tour of the new facility. The Springs is less than 1/2 mile from the Ballston Metro station and close to major employment and retail stores.

APAH is a nonprofit affordable housing developer with 1,286 rental homes at 15 properties across Arlington.
