INCIDENTS

Animal Case -- 300 Block Mill Street, NE August 6 2:54 p.m. A citizen was bitten by her own dog on her ear while playing.

Fraud -- 200 Block Commons Drive, NW Between Aug. 8, 12 p.m. and Aug.11, 12 p.m. A resident reported several fraudulent charges on his bank account.

Petit Larceny -- 600 Block Kearney Court, SW Between Aug. 17, 10 p.m. and Aug. 20, 8 a.m. A resident reported that someone stole tools from his carport.

Property Found -- 300 Block Church Street, NE Aug. 21, 9:14 a.m. A citizen turned in found property.

Suspicious Event -- Park Street, SE / Locust Street, SE Aug. 21, 5:30 p.m. A teen approached an elderly man that appeared to be in distress to check on his welfare. The teen later reported that the elderly man made some inappropriate statements to her before leaving the area.

Arrest - Drunk In Public -- Southside Park 1317 Ross Drive, SW Aug. 22, 12:12 a.m. While on routine patrol OFC McElhattan observed a suspicious vehicle where a man was sleeping. Upon the officer’s interaction with the man, he detected signs of impairment. PFC McElhattan arrested the 22-year-old man with an unknown address. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Drunk In Public.

Natural Death -- 400 Block Troy Court, SE Between Aug. 22, 5 p.m. and Aug. 23, 11 a.m. A citizen requested police assistance with a deceased elderly person. After investigating, it was determined that the person died of natural causes.

Found Property -- Vienna Community Center 120 Cherry Street, SE Aug, 22, 8:55 p.m. A citizen turned in found property.

Found Property -- Church Street, NE / Mill Street, NE Aug. 23, 4:20 p.m. A citizen turned in found property.

Emotionally Disturbed Person -- 200 Block Courthouse Circle, SW Aug. 23, 7:58 p.m. A resident requested police assistance with an emotionally disturbed person. After speaking with all parties involved it was determined that the emotionally disturbed person had not broken any laws and did not meet the criteria for an emergency custody order.

Stolen Vehicle -- 300 Block Ayr Hill Avenue, NE Aug. 24 between 2 a.m. and 2:12 p.m. A resident reported that someone stole his vehicle from his driveway. The resident advised the vehicle was unlocked and that he had left the keys inside the vehicle.

Alarm Business -- Westwood Country Club 800 Maple Avenue, East Aug. 25, 12:37 a.m. Officers responded to the address for an alarm and located an open door. Officers searched the business and did not find anything suspicious. Officers were able to secure the door.

Burglary -- 200 Block Moore Avenue, SE Between Aug. 25, 12 p.m. and Aug. 26, 6:30 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered her garage and stole a bicycle. While the unknown suspect was in the garage, they rummaged through the contents of her unlocked vehicle.

Emotionally Disturbed Person -- Vienna Police Station 215 Center Street South Aug. 25, 12:27 p.m. An emotionally disturbed person walked inside the Vienna Police Station lobby and requested police assistance. After speaking with the emotionally disturbed person, it was determined that medical assistance was necessary. An ambulance responded to the Vienna Police Station and transported the emotionally disturbed person to a medical facility.

Stolen Vehicle -- 500 Block Orchard Street, NW Between Aug. 25, 7 p.m. and Aug. 26, 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that someone stole his vehicle from his driveway. The resident advised that the vehicle was unlocked and the keys inside the vehicle.

Domestic Dispute -- 900 Block Ware Street, SW Aug. 25, 8:17 p.m. A resident requested police assistance with a domestic dispute. Officers responded to the residence, after speaking to all parties involved, it was determined that no violation of law had taken place. Both parties agreed to sleep on different floors of the house to avoid any other disputes.

Stolen Vehicle -- 300 Block of Nutley Street, NW Aug. 26, 4:26 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered one of her unlocked vehicles parked on her driveway. Inside this vehicle, there was a key to a second vehicle parked in the same driveway. The suspect took the key and stole the second vehicle.

Found Property -- Glyndon Street SE / Moore Avenue SE Aug. 26, 6:55 a.m. Officers responded to investigate reports of a bicycle on the roadway. Upon arrival, officers located an abandoned bicycle. The bike was collected and placed in property for safekeeping.

Police Service -- 200 Block Locust Street, SE Aug. 26, 9 a.m. A resident requested police assistance with a roommate dispute. Officers responded to the residence, spoke to all parties involved, and determined that no violation of law had taken place.

Petit Larceny -- Vienna Elementary School 128 Center Street, SE Aug; 26 between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A citizen reported that someone stole his unsecured bicycle.

Petit Larceny -- 500 Block Valley Drive, SE Between Aug. 26, 4:30 p.m. and Aug. 27, 6:55 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of prescription glasses.

Vehicle Tampering -- 300 Block Holmes Drive, NW Between Aug. 26, 6 p.m. and Aug, 27, 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole some coins from the center console.

Grand Larceny -- 600 Block John Marshall Drive, NW Between Aug. 26, 6:30 p.m. and Aug. 27, 3:30 p.m. A resident reported that someone entered his vehicle through the soft top and stole his laptop.

Unlawful Entry -- 100 Block Kingsley Road, SW Between Aug. 26, 9 p.m. and Aug. 27, 1 p.m. A resident reported that someone entered the shed in his backyard, but nothing was missing.

Assault -- Palm Beach Tan 105 Center Street North Aug. 26, 9:03 p.m. Police responded to a panic alarm activation at the business. Once on the scene, an employee stated that an altercation between two customers had taken place before close. The two parties involved in the altercation were interviewed, and there were no visible injuries. The victim was advised of the process to obtain an arrest warrant due to impending travel plans.

Suspicious Event -- 200 Block Locust Street, NE Aug. 26, 9:37 p.m. A resident requested police assistance with a roommate dispute. Officers responded to the residence and spoke to all parties involved and determined that no violation of law had taken place.

Domestic Dispute -- 100 Block Shepherdson Lane, NE Aug. 26, 9:43 p.m. A resident requested police assistance with a domestic dispute in progress. Officers responded to the scene and spoke to everyone involved. It was determined that no violation of law had taken place. One of the involved parties agreed to leave the house for the night and stay at a girlfriend’s house. The other party was advised on how to request a protective order at the magistrate’s office.

Domestic Dispute -- 100 Block Shepherdson Lane, NE Aug. 27, 6:20 a.m. A resident requested police assistance with a domestic dispute. Once on scene, Officers met with the resident and addressed her concerns. Shortly after the officers left, the resident called and requested that the officers return. Officers responded back to the home and met with the resident to address her new concerns. She was advised on the process to request a protective order at the magistrate’s office.

Arrest - Violation of Protective Order 20-006789 200 Block Locust Street, SE August 27 2:51 p.m. A resident reported that her roommate violated an active protective order. Officers investigated the allegations and determined that a violation of the protective order had taken place.

MPO Finelli arrested the 68-year-old woman from Locust Street, SE, in Vienna. She was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The woman was released on an unsecured bond and transported back to Locust Street, SE.

DPW – Line Down -- Ninovan Road, SE / Fellini Court, SE Aug. 27, 6:26 p.m. A citizen reported a fallen, large limb that was blocking the road. The Department of Public Works was contacted to clear the road.

Suspicious Event -- 200 Block McHenry Street, SE Aug. 27, 6:44 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown vehicle stopped on the roadway in front of his home and took several pictures of his house.

Suspicious Event -- 200 Locust Street, SE Aug. 27, 8:26 p.m. A resident requested police assistance with a verbal dispute. Police responded to the residence and determined that no violation of law had taken place and advised both parties to keep to themselves.
