Dec. 10-12 in the space formerly occupied by The Sushi Bar on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Located at 2312 Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray, the holiday-themed pop up replaces The Sushi Bar, one of the trio of restaurants owned by the Homegrown Restaurant Group in Del Ray. It sits between sister restaurants Holy Cow and Pork Barrel BBQ.

“The pop up will serve holiday cocktails in a festive, nostalgic setting in Del Ray,” said “Mango” Mike Anderson, founder of the Homegrown Restaurant Group.

Joy on the Avenue will serve light appetizers along with a selection of wine, beer and cocktails. The holiday pop-up will remain open through the holidays before closing down for several weeks. A new concept restaurant is planned for the location with a tentative opening of February 2022.
