Park View teachers spent April 4 finalizing grades, as students enjoyed having the Friday off. At 8:30 a.m. that morning parents had an opportunity to have a mini-conference with their child's teachers. The main gym was set up with teachers placed in alphabetical order and parents were able to discuss grades for approximately five minutes each.
The annual Job for a Day opportunity was held on April 9. Many students signed up with their counselors to participate in this beneficial event. Students filled out a piece of paper entailing their career aspirations, and counselors contacted the appropriate suitors for their interests. This activity is held in hopes of assisting students in choosing their ambitions for college and beyond.
The Girl's Lacrosse Team played in a close game against Stone Bridge High School on April 3. The game ended with a final score of 8-7, with five goals attributed by junior Alyssa Yassine, and two from freshman Brittany Davenport. The opponent scored in the last 40 seconds of the game.
The Track team was defeated in a tri-meet held on April 2 against Stone Bridge and Broad Run. The throwing team fought hard as Travis Huff and Becky Pullen placed third in discus. In shot put, Ryan Beringer placed second, and Christina Cole placed third.
