<bt>Large audiences gathered together Monday evening, Nov. 22, to enjoy Vladimir Rosenblatt make beautiful music with his voice, balalaika, and violin. Olga Ternovshky accompanied him on the piano. Both are accomplished musicians, and they were very well received by the show of applause by the audience.

The Hermitage van was full to capacity on Nov. 19 when it departed to wind its way to the new American Indian Museum. All who went declared that the trip was well worth their efforts.

The residents called it a pleasure to have Floyd Andrews make a return trip to play piano for them in the Auditorium, Nov. 5. He played mostly classical music to the enjoyment of all.

Resident Tony Brode continues to give organ recitals each Thursday afternoon in the lobby. The residents are lucky to have him as one of their own.

The Balalaika Symphony continues to enjoy having residents attend its weekly rehearsals Thursdays in the Auditorium. There are always a large number of attendees.

The Singing Saints from the St. John United Methodist Church hosted the monthly birthday party on Friday, Nov. 19, in the lobby. It is always good to hear them sing, and their refreshments are always delicious. Gifts were given to those having a birthday in November.

Pianist Sheila Grimes returned Dec. 3 to play for a large group of residents and friends. She has come many times before, but this time she played all her classical repertoire on the new piano in the auditorium.

Oboe virtuoso Phil Sargaent returned to play four Christmas and classical pieces during Vespers on Dec. 6. He has an open invitation to return, as his playing is so enriching and enjoyable to hear.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Hermitage, with all the large decorated trees. In the lobby, we have the "Chrismon" tree and the Christmas tree. In the dining room, we have another large tree. Numerous poinsettias are appropriately placed throughout the facility.
