A Little History

According to records uncovered by the Police Department, Herndon was served by about 14 town sergeants between 1879 and 1958 and has had five police chiefs from 1958 to the present. In addition, three locations have served as the police station: the basement of Town Hall, a church on Crestview Drive, its present location on Sterling Road, with the fourth, 397 Herndon Parkway, is under renovation now.
