GraceFul Care staff members, including president Pat Williams and director Keeler Anderson, recently completed an Alzheimer's Association 12-hour training program for caregivers for persons with dementia.
The caregivers benefited from a seven-module training program which centers on the person with Alzheimer's, and from recent training in utilizing selected Montessori techniques to keep persons with dementia stimulated, active and confident.
GraceFul Care credits the Alzheimer's Association for winning a grant to subsidize trainers, the Virginia General Assembly and its lead patrons for their commitment to Virginia families living with Alzheimer's disease.
