Curves, a fitness center in Bethesda, hosts a raffle Sept. 20-30 to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, a non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Tickets will cost $10 each, and each ticket gives the holder a chance to win. First prize will be a gift certificate and Curves shirts, and second and third prizes will also be awarded. The Old Angler's Inn has opened its informal beer garden for canal and river lovers and is actively pursuing relationships with companies, associations, and others who are involved with canal and river activities. The Old Angler's Inn has recently agreed to open its garden Wednesday and Thursday nights to accommodate Potomac Paddle Sports and other outdoor enthusiasts from 6-10 p.m. for libations and casual fare. All are welcome.
The River Falls Seafood Company in Potomac will be taking over the Renato's reataurant which is located next door starting Sept. 1.
