Chef Jacques Haeringer, of L'Augberge Chez François in Great Falls, stopped by Kent Gardens Elementary School in McLean on Friday, Oct. 20 to speak to students in the French immersion program. The fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students learned about French cuisine, art, music and the chef's French background, and then got to participate in a question-and-answer session. Both parts of the event combined English and French. Chef Haeringer is currently hosting the pilot of the program "A Bite of History" for the History Channel.
