Reston celebrated its 43rd birthday last weekend during the Reston Festival, held July 7 and 8 at Reston Town Center. Area residents came to Reston Town Center to join in the weekend of fun, games and musical entertainment. Reston’s civic organizations set up information booths in proximity to politicians and candidates hoping to represent Reston at various levels of government. Magicians and balloon artists entertained the younger residents at the festival. A birthday cake was presented on Saturday afternoon.
