Vienna native and Emory University swimmer Keith Diggs won the National Championship in the 400-yard individual medley at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on March 22 at the Miami University Aquatic Center. Diggs, a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School for Science and Technology, broke his own school record with a time of 3 minutes, 54.80 seconds, less than a second shy of the Division III record. The Emory junior also broke a school record in the 1,650 freestyle, placing second with a time of 15:33.71. Diggs added three more All-American times in the 500 freestyle (10th place), 800 freestyle relay (9th) and the 400 freestyle relay (11th). The Eagles finished fourth at the meet, marking the ninth-straight time that Emory has finished in the top five in the country.
