Named the “Best Flamenco Guitarist” by America’s Guitar magazine for five consecutive years, Paco Peña brings his troupe of flamenco singers, musicians and dancers to George Mason University’s Center for the Arts in Fairfax on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at 8 p.m. for a tour through the history of flamenco.

In this performance titled “Flamenco Vivo,” the journey begins with the most primitive forms of the art form.

A pre-performance discussion, free to ticket holders, begins 45 minutes prior to the performance on the center’s Grand Tier III and is sponsored by the Friends of the Center for the Arts. This performance is a part of the 2012-2013 Global View series at the Center for the Arts, which is sponsored by HSBC Bank.
