Among The Connection’s many excellent carriers, Andrew Storr is honored for his service, reliability and dedication as 2011 Burke Connection Carrier of the Year.
For his first job, Storr is off to a great start – he makes no secret about his goal of someday being a millionaire and since he plays travel baseball with the Alexandria Heat and travel basketball with the Burke Spurs, he might someday make that kind of money. The Washington Irving Middle School eighth grader delivers 203 Connections weekly to finance his fun, which includes playing video games and hanging out with friends, but he always comes home to his seven-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Suzi. Although Storr was born in Illinois, his diverse family tree has branches from all over the world: maternal grandparents are Swedish and German, paternal grandparents are African American and Bahamian. Vacations are often to visit his cousins and he likes to have plenty of spending money on these trips. Each Connection Carrier of the Year receives two Popeye’s meal coupons, two University Mall Theatre passes and a $10 paycheck bonus.
