Former University of North Carolina point guard Kendall Marshall, a 2010 graduate of Bishop O’Connell High School, was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 13th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft on June 28.
Marshall spent two seasons at UNC. The Dumfries native was the No. 22 overall prospect coming out of O’Connell, according to ESPN.com.
