Chesterbrook Wins with Dominant Performance

The Chesterbrook swim team put forth a dominant performance on July 7, beating Vienna Woods, 323-97, during an NVSL Division I meet in McLean. Chesterbrook won 33 of 40 individual events and 11 of 12 relays.

In boys’ action, Chesterbrook had four multiple-event winners: Nicholas A. Spicer (9-10 50 free, 32.93 and 50 breast, 41.21), Sam T. Gollob (11-12 50 free, 29.7 and 50 breast, 35.59), Griffin T. Morche (13-14 50 free, 27.18 and 50 breast, 35.37) and Rajan D. Bhargava (8U 25 breast, 25.78 and 25 fly, 21.84). Other individual event winners were: Henry H. Prince (8U 25 back, 23.68), Andrew Bernstein (9-10 50 back, 38.53), Grant G. DeWitt (11-12 50 back, 33.25), Hayden T. Camp (13-14 50 back, 33.03), Chris T. Outlaw (15-18 50 back, 29.63), Adi F. Kambhampaty (9-10 25 fly, 17.4), Thomas A. Outlaw (11-12 50 fly, 33.03) and Jaya D. Kambhampaty (13-14 50 fly, 31.03).

Chesterbrook captured five of six boys’ relays. Jaya D. Kambhampaty, Bernstein, John M. Stahlman and Chris T. Outlaw teamed up to win the 200 mixed age relay (1:55.68). Nicholas M. Lohman, Jay D. Gollob, Adi F. Kambhampaty and Bernstein won the 9-10 100 medley relay. DeWitt, Sam T. Gollob, Thomas A. Outlaw and Jaya D. Kambhampaty won the 11-12 100 medley relay (1:00.38). Camp, Morche, Connor J. Morche and John M. Stahlman won the 13-14 100 medley relay, and Brandon S. Enroth, Ian R. Stuver, Jake A. Huber and Chris T. Outlaw won the 15-18 200 medley relay (1:58.21).

In girls’ action, Chesterbrook had five individual event winners: Sydney-Cate Thornett (8U 25 free, 18.9 and 25 breast, 26.09), Holly C. Prince (9-10 50 free, 34.96 and 50 back, 44.71), Rachel S. Clark (11-12 50 free, 30.39 and 50 fly, 32.34), Jessica M. Monroe (13-14 50 back, 34.76 and 50 breast, 39.21) and Veronica R. Wolff (13-14 50 free, 29.25 and 13-14 50 fly, 31.96). Other individual even winners were: Caroline P. Burgeson (8U 25 back, 22.81), Libby L. Davis (11-12 50 back, 37.38), Nowell A. Boardman (15-18 50 back, 31.87), Eleanor H. Salkoff (9-10 50 breast, 45.59), Claire F. Wolff (11-12 50 breast, 38.21), Olivia G. McManus (8U 25 fly, 20.33) and Katherine L. Pardo (15-18 50 fly, 31.50).

Chesterbrook won all six girls’ relay events. McManus, Burgeson, Amelia G. Rewis and Thornett won the 8U 100 free relay (1:20.31). Clark, Salkoff, Veronica R. Wolff and Boardman won the 200 mixed age relay (2:05.02). Prince, Salkoff, Gabby G. Perotti and Kallie S. Urbach won the 9-10 100 medley relay (1:17.47). Julia L. Green, Claire F. Wolff, Clark and Maddie P. McArthur won the 11-12 100 relay (1:04.84). Monroe, Jacqueline R. Green, Veronica R. Wolff and Sabrina B. Kersten won the 13-14 100 relay and Boardman, Alston Offutt, Tatiana M. Kersten and Katherine L. Pardo won the 200 medley relay (2:12.21).
