Better Said Than Done at Epicure Café in Fairfax

Better Said Than Done, a community of professional storytellers, will be presenting "First Encounters – stories of meetings, dates, and the totally alien," at Epicure Cafe, 11213A Lee Highway in Fairfax on Saturday, May 19. The event will feature entertaining performances of true stories proving there’s a first time for everything. The show starts at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10, at the door. A full dinner menu and full bar are available during the show. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The show is intended for an adult audience.

Jessica Piscitelli, Founder, Better Said Than Done, will host "First Encounters." Storytellers include: Geraldine Buckley, Derek Hills, Len Kruger, Desiree Lester, Jennifer Luu, Jessica Piscitelli, Anna Trester and Michael Zhang. Additionally, Better Said Than Done welcomes first time teller Marcella Jones.

Better Said Than Done defines storytelling as the art of performing a true, personal story in front of a live audience. The stories are personal. They are stories, meaning they have a beginning, middle, and end. Most importantly, storytelling is a performance, an art, a form of entertainment, and a reality the audience will not forget.
