Green MotorSport Comes to Springfield

Green MotorSport, owned and operated by NASA mechanical engineer David Green, will celebrate its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at its new location, 8432 Alban Road, Springfield, in the Alban Business Park. The public is invited.

Green MotorSport’s mission is to provide the best performance products and service at an affordable price. In partnership with FVD Brombacher and IPD, Green MotorSport sells, installs and services performance parts for performance vehicles, as well as providing routine service for family cars and trucks.

Green is still happily employed by NASA after 18 years, but Green

MotorSport combines Green’s passion for precision performance – as evidenced by the three patents he earned at NASA – and a lifetime love of earthbound vehicles.

"As soon as you challenge me and tell me I can’t do it, I’m going to

do it," Green said of taking an 800-pound aluminum block and machining it to an 8-pound, one-piece High Gain Antenna for GPM (global precipitation measurement system) for NASA. "All the critics said it would never work, but it far surpassed all requirements."

Green and his MotorSport team bring that same can-do attitude to

Springfield.
