Over 200 Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadette Girls Scouts donned their Halloween Costumes to celebrate the Oct. 31 birthday of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts. The event took place on Oct. 21 at Vienna Community Center and was organized by Girl Scout Service Unit 50-8. Pictured, members of Junior Troop 2531 (Oakton) lead the flag ceremony in their Halloween costumes.

In the best tradition of girl scouting, the event began with a Halloween Sing-a-Long, and included crafts, games and two service projects: a collection of snacks for the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter, and an opportunity to create Halloween cards for members of the United States military. Below, members of Junior Troop 4126 work on the cards. Members of the Cadette Troops helped to run the games and crafts for the younger girl scouts and everyone had a spooky good time.
