Commuters in the Springfield area will have another park-and-ride option late this year when the commuter parking lot in Saratoga opens in late December.
The 535-space lot, located at Barta Road and the Fairfax County Parkway, will have bus bays, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The location of the lot, right off the new section of the Fairfax County Parkway, provides an easy access to I-95 and the 95 Express Lanes when they are completed in 2014. This winter, an express bus line will start at the lot, and make a few more local stops before heading up the 495 Express Lanes to Tysons Corner.
