Gwen and Jackie Williams assisted "Sweet Genius" Chef Josh Rosen as he demonstrated how to make vegan chocolate on Career Day, April 18, at Herndon ES.

Herndon ES fourth grader Gwen Williams was watching the holiday “Sweet Genius” episode and was so inspired by Rosen's dessert work that she wrote to the owner of the Baltimore, Md.-based business to invite him to the school's Career Day.

Chef Rosen said yes and showed up on Thursday, April 18, to show Gwen and her friends how to make chocolate.

Rosen showed the children how to grind cocoa beans and transform them into delicious chocolate; Gwen helped the chef as he demonstrated. Rosen also spoke about how to make desserts vegan, Charm School Chocolates style.

If you weren't at Herndon ES on Career Day, you can sample Chef Rosen's chocolates at Sticky Fingers in the district (http://www.charmschoolchocolates.com).
