Police Conduct Training Exercise

The Alexandria Special Operations team returns to the upper parking lot in the operations vehicle at the conclusion of Wednesday’s tactical training exercise in the Landmark Mall.

Landmark Mall was the site of a joint Alexandria and Arlington Police training exercise on Wednesday morning, July 30.

At the conclusion of the training exercise, participants gathered on the top parking deck for an after-action meeting.

More than 50 public safety officers and support staff participated in the mock incident, rescue and resolution training. Teams involved were Special Operations, hostage negotiators, Alexandria Fire Department and Arlington Police’s explosive ordnance disposal team.
