William and Kathy Briggs of Herndon have announced the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Briggs, to Michael Hitti, son of William and Michele Hitti of Herndon. Michael and Katelyn are Herndon High School sweethearts and graduated from HHS in 2008. They have both gone on to graduate with degrees at West Virginia University and have secured employment in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. A June 2015 wedding is being planned.
