To the Editor:
Saul Centers is to be loudly applauded for the new oasis at the Safeway Shopping Center on Walker Road. The open space between CVS and Starbucks has been transformed into a tranquil park, complete with plashing fountains and restful landscaping for all to enjoy.
After initial dismay at the removal of some trees and the reconstruction of the parking lot last year, the results prove to be worth the wait. This is just a lovely spot, one which no one was obligated to provide to the community.
