Jennifer Basik of Springfield

On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Jennifer Basik of Springfield met with members of Congress in Washington, D.C. as part of the Direct Selling Association’s second annual Direct Selling Day on Capitol Hill. The event drew more than 400 direct sellers from 28 companies, 30 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.

Basik has worked as an independent wine consultant with WineShop At Home for three and half years and wanted the opportunity to share stories of her business success with legislatures.

“I am a proud military wife and stay at home mom,” Basik said. “This business gives me the freedom to be a wife, mom, and business owner at the same time without sacrificing any of those areas of my life. I'd like to thank the DSA and members of Congress for letting our voices be heard and acknowledging our businesses that add such fuel to our economy.”
