Arlington — Members of the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics committee were among the thousands of seniors who competed in the 2015 National Seniors Games held recently in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Carmella Miller of Arlington was a member of a women’s volleyball team which won a silver medal. Donnie Greene, Sr. of Dale City was a member of the 80+ Virginia Creepers basketball team which earned a gold medal. Del Wilson of Burke played on the 75+ Virginia Creepers team and Herb Levitan of Arlington participated in swimming events.
Other committee members will also compete in the 2015 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics including Carol Mackela and Chuck Toftoy of Arlington, Janet Garber of Alexandria, Chuck Williams, Warrenton, Bernie Stamm and Roger Webb of Ashburn, Arthur Skaer of South Riding and Jim Viggiani of Manassas.
