To the Editor:
I just wanted to write to you to let you know how disappointed I was to see the recent Great Falls Connection cover. It was a picture of a mother and daughter dressed as "Indians" on Halloween at the village center. Honestly, I do not think it is appropriate for someone to wear an entire people and culture as a Halloween costume, so to see that glorified on the cover was pretty disturbing.
I’m sure there were tons of other families in festive costumes, but putting this snapshot on the cover was in poor taste. I expected better from my local newspaper that's distributed to a somewhat diverse Great Falls community.
