— Santa’s helpers and North Pole elves are out in full-force in Vienna, appearing in all the expected places that kids show up at … With support from the Town of Vienna Parks and Recreation Department, Santa and his elves joined more than 230 guests at a lunch in his honor on Dec. 3. The annual lunch with Santa was held at the Vienna volunteer fire station this year as the community center is out of commission while being remodeled.

Santa listened to wish-lists - or just greeted little ones - while Rudolf mingled among the guests. Everyone who was asked responded that they had had fun at the Santa lunch.

The VVFD Auxiliary served a lunch of mac-and-cheese and chicken nuggets, while Kiln and Company donated bisque tiles for kids to paint and bring home. Kiln’s famed custard came after the hot lunch, all donated by the locally-owned business.

On December 10, VVFD Auxiliary is hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast open to the public.
