Turkey-craft
”Put the glue on the foil because sometimes you squeeze too much. Then lay out the 21 pieces of your turkey.” Myrna Manolas, instructor for the Thanksgiving craft class at Lee Senior Center on Nov. 17, says, “Crafts is one of my hobbies.” She demonstrates, “OK, his head is stickin’ above the yella. His legs go on the outside, one this way and one that way.” A 93-year-old participant says she is making the turkey as a wall hanging for her friend who has Alzheimer’s. “She won’t know, but it makes me feel good.”
