Fairfax County NAACP Hosting Community Gathering

The NAACP of Fairfax County is hosting a community and Black History Month commemoration on Saturday, Feb. 25.

The event is scheduled to take place from 9-11 a.m. at the Kings Park Community Library in Burke. All are invited to attend the free event, where breakfast will be served, the Fairfax County NAACP announced.

County officials and NAACP members will be on hand for networking, and to share information about the organization’s plans for the remainder of 2017.

SALT to Host Public Richmond Wrap-up

Social Action Linking Together (SALT) will sponsor a Richmond Wrap-Up on Saturday, March 11, 9-11:15 a.m., hosted by the Virginia International University (VIU), in Conference Room (VD-102), 4401 Village Drive, Fairfax. Northern Virginia legislators will discuss safety net issues in the 2015 General Assembly session. Bring your questions. Join the discussion.
