The 7.5-foot tall, 900-pound bronze sculpture, “Taking Flight,” by artists Seth and Missy Vandable, is located outside the lobby of the town’s 2017 renovated community center. It memorializes Madena Jane Seeman (1937-2014), former mayor of Vienna (2000-2014), and her passion for volunteering. Mayor Linda Colbert is Seeman’s daughter.
