Potomac West Business Association hosted the 32nd annual Alexandria Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving . Grand Marshal Patty Moran reminisced after the run, "I only found out on Monday that I was given the honor as the Grand Marshal this year. As I said at City Council when the proclamation was read, this was especially special to me, as the Turkey Trot in 2003 was the last event Nancy and I worked on together...so that when I was sitting in the car on Thanksgiving, waving to all as Grand Marshal, that Nancy was sitting beside me as Honorary
Grand Marshal!"
Nancy Dunning was found murdered in her home on Mt. Ida Avenue the following week in 2003. Her murder is still unsolved
