Extremely cold and windy weather did not keep away thousands of people from coming to see the 2007 Reston Holiday Parade. Participants in the parade included local civic groups, nonprofit organizations, public safety officers, politicians and others. The parade celebrated Virginia’s history, marking 400 years since European settlers arrived at Jamestown. Spectators lined both sides of Market Street at Reston Town Center to welcome the parade’s participants and Santa and Mrs. Claus, who arrived by horse-drawn carriage.
