Mount Vernon Crime Report May 8

Activities reported by the Mt. Vernon police department through May 4.

ROBBERY

7900 block of Fort Hunt Road, April 28, 2 p.m. A man walked up to a pharmacist, handed her note demanding narcotics. The suspect implied a weapon and the pharmacist complied. The suspect fled. He was described as white, around 20 years old, 5’10” tall and 145 pounds.

BRANDISHING

8200 Greta Court, May 2, 7:25 p.m. A man was seen pointing a handgun while in the parking lot of an apartment building. Officers responded and after resisting arrest, the man was taken into custody. A 45-year-old male of the 8200 block of Greta Court was charged with brandishing a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and felony obstruction.
