After five back-to-back days of competition in Kansas City, Mo., T.C. Williams High School senior and Alexandria native Troy Isley emerged victorious at the U.S.A. Boxing National Championship on Saturday, Dec. 10, and was crowned the #1 National Champion in the 165-pound weight class. The tournament served as a qualifier for the U.S. National team, which Isley will now join, representing Team USA in upcoming international competitions.
