POW/MIA is still an active issue for the American Legion, said David Womack, Post Commander of the Wayne M. Kidwell American Legion Post 184, during comments after accepting the Town of Herndon Proclamation recognizing POW/MIA Day from the Mayor and Town Council of Herndon.

"At all of our meetings, we set a place for the missing solder. I can't thank you enough for remembering," said David Womack, Post Commander of the Wayne M. Kidwell American Legion Post 184.

The Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Herndon proclaimed Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, as POW/MIA Recognition Day in the Town of Herndon during the Town Council Public Session held Sept. 11, 2018. David Womack, Post Commander of the Wayne M. Kidwell American Legion Post 184, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Post.
