TSA officers at Washington Dulles International Airport impacted by the partial federal government shutdown enjoy a donated meal of Italian food purchased by members of #Reston United, through the discounted pricing offered by Vapiano Reston Town Center.

Shah said members of #Reston United were able to purchase and donate the chef-prepared Italian meals, given a deeply discounted price offered to them by Simon Wu, General Manager of Vapiano Reston Town Center.

“#Reston United purchased cookies and serving equipment from a local store,” said Shah. The group brought the added supplies to Vapiano Reston Town Center on Sunday, Jan. 20, where they met with Wu and Christian Estrada of Vapiano to await the arrival of two TSA officers. Due to security concerns, the TSA transported the food and supplies to Washington Dulles International Airport.

"The Sunday donation was part of our Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service," said Mary Elizabeth Lam of #Reston United. "We were glad to cooperate and be part of the donation," said Luis Cruz, Assistant General Manager of Vapiano Reston Town Center.
