Statement from Senator Dick Saslaw

Thank you for this thoughtful community service when developing a voter’s guide. As a long serving elected official, Senator Saslaw has a very extensive voting record on key issues. Serving as the Democratic Leader in the Senate (both as majority and minority leader as well), he has demonstrated a unique ability to work with both sides of the aisle as well as both elected bodies in the best interests of Virginians across the Commonwealth. Senator Saslaw is a pro-business, pro-education and pro-choice candidate with key endorsements from many sectors.

This November all 140 seats of the legislature will be elected to new terms. Once the members are sworn in and bills introduced, the Senator will access the best strategies for developing good public policy as well as thoughtful fiscal responsibility. You may find his voting record on line at www.lis.virginia.gov.
